Dr. Erin Mitchell

Dr. Erin Mitchell was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida and has been practicing chiropractic medicine since 2011.  Dr. Mitchell is a graduate of Austin Peay State University where she was captain of the Division-1 soccer team, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  Following college, she went on to travel the U.S. with AmeriCorps NCCC, providing help to hurricane victims and at-risk children.  As a result, she was presented the Congressional Award.  She later attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL, graduating with a Doctorate of Chiropractic.  Dr. Mitchell is a member of the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce and is head of the Suncoast Surfers for Autism committee.

Dr. Mitchell has been familiar with the chiropractic field since she was a child.  Her first adjustment was given by her uncle when she was just an infant, and it has continued to be a part of her life ever since.  Being an athlete all her life, she understood the physical stress that sports can have on the body and the importance of being adjusted on a regular basis.  She soon realized that what had given her an advantage in sports could also be used to optimize everyday health and wellness.  It is now Dr. Mitchell's highest priority to help patients reach their optimal health goals through the use of natural and effective chiropractic care.

Dr. Mitchell is proficient in both manual adjusting and Activator technique in order to restore proper motion and alignment to the spine and extremities.  Manual therapy texhniques are also often utilized to address muscular restricitions and adhesions through the use of neuromuscular re-education and instrument-assisted tissue mobilization.
