Dr. Erin Mitchell

Dr. Mitchell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Austin Peay State University, where she also was the captain of the Division-1 soccer team. Her many years in soccer, track, and cross country have given her a deep understanding of both the movement patterns and injuries that can arise from athletic play. Following college, she joined AmeriCorps NCCC, providing help to hurricane victims and at-risk youth, earning her the Congressional Award.

Dr. Mitchell is passionate about her patient’s long-term goals.  She strives for her patients to have a great understanding of the root cause of their pains/dysfunctions.  Given knowledge on how to address these root causes, the patient is ultimately provided the tools for true wellness and not just intermittent pain relief.

To better help her patients, Dr. Mitchell continues to study those treatments that are evidence-based.  Amongst her many continuing education hours are those in FRS (Functional Range Systems) and Foundation Training.  Over the years she has gained her certifications as an FR upper limb provider, FRC mobility specialist, FRA provider, Kinstretch Level 1 instructor, and Foundation Training student instructor.
